Water and Wastewater
Treated water carries residual chlorine and, in coastal or brackish supply, chlorides that concentrate under deposits. Crevice corrosion under gaskets and at flange faces is the common failure mode rather than general attack, which makes joint design and grade selection jointly responsible for service life.
