Vietnam has its own TCVN national standards, and imported steel is commonly specified to ASTM, JIS or EN. Name the standard in your order and we confirm whether it can be supplied.
The climate is tropical monsoon with high humidity all year, damp cool winters in the north and salt air along the long coast. Material that sits in warehouses or fabrication yards needs dry storage, and anything used outdoors or near the sea needs a grade chosen for chlorides.
For furniture frames, decorative tube and indoor kitchen equipment SS 202 is widely used and keeps cost down. For food contact, washdown or coastal installations, 304 or 316 is the safer specification.
SS 202 is widely used here for kitchenware, furniture, decorative tube, elevator and interior panels, and appliance parts, all indoor and dry-to-humid uses. For exposed, coastal or washdown service we recommend 304 or 316 instead, and we will say so.
Chromium-manganese-nickel austenitic grade. A lower-cost alternative to 304 for dry, indoor and decorative use. Every form is also available in SS 304, 316, duplex and nickel alloys.
State the grade, form, dimensions, quantity, standard and destination port. We will confirm availability and the Incoterm.
