Unlike welded tubes, welded tubes are formed by extruding a solid round steel billet into a hollow tube without any welding. This results in a smooth surface finish and better mechanical properties, as there are no seams that may become weak points under high pressure or corrosive conditions.
Thanks to the unique properties of Alloy 20, these seamless tubes (9.5 mm diameter x 1.6 mm thickness) are widely used in:
Alloy 20 provides superior resistance to sulfuric acid and other corrosive chemicals compared to 316 stainless steels. This makes it ideal for applications that involve exposure to harsh chemicals, which would otherwise corrode standard grades.
Yes, the seamless design of the tubes, combined with the strength of Alloy 20, allows them to withstand high-pressure environments without deformation or cracking.
Alloy 20 seamless tubes can operate effectively at temperatures up to 500°C, depending on the specific environment and conditions.
Yes, manufacturers can often customize the tube dimensions to meet specific project requirements. Common variations include different diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths.
