The Bar with thread in the right direction are rotated in a clockwise direction to tighten whereas to tighten a left hand threaded bar it is rotated in an anticlockwise direction. However, the latter one is not commonly used but used in applications where right hand threaded bar cannot be used. It includes an application where the motor is used as its vibration will make the bar lose. In applications where the direction of bar is not specified by default, the direction is right. However, bar that are threaded from both the ends are used in assembling.
Threads are made on bar to ease the process of securing nuts and bolts so that they can be easily screwed into the bar without much pressure.
