Super Duplex Stainless Steel 2507 Sheet: supplier, stockist and exporter in Mumbai, India

Rajgranth Metal & Alloys supplies super duplex stainless steel 2507 sheet (UNS S32750) from Mumbai and exports it to 18 markets.

01overview

What is Super Duplex 2507 sheet?

Sheet is the thinner flat product, supplied cut to size in a stated surface finish, and heavier gauges are sold as plate to the same standard and range. Super Duplex 2507 sheet and plate are used for fabricated panels, equipment housings, tank shells and process equipment, where the finish and flatness matter as much as the grade. Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750, EN 1.4410) is a high-alloy duplex stainless steel with 25 percent chromium, 7 percent nickel, 4 percent molybdenum and nitrogen. Its pitting resistance equivalent is above 40, which puts it in the seawater and aggressive chloride class.

Rajgranth Metal & Alloys lists Super Duplex 2507 among the grades it supplies and exports from Mumbai.

08applications

Where Super Duplex 2507 sheet is used

  • Subsea and offshore oil and gas piping
  • Seawater cooling and firewater systems
  • Desalination high-pressure pipework
  • Heat exchangers in chloride service
  • Chemical process equipment
09specify

What to state when you enquire for Super Duplex 2507 sheet

  • Thickness in mm and sheet size, with width of 1000, 1219, 1500 or 2000 mm published
  • Surface finish: 2B, BA, No. 4, hairline, mirror, matt or chequered
  • Protective film on one side or both, for polished finishes
  • Quantity in sheets or kilograms
  • The standard and the test certificate required
  • Whether sheets are to be cut to size
10check

What to check on Super Duplex 2507 sheet before and after delivery

On Super Duplex 2507 sheet, look at flatness and surface in good light and at an angle, because finish defects on polished sheet show only that way. Check thickness against the order, and the heat number against the certificate. If the sheet will be formed or welded, tell us the process so we can say whether the grade and temper suit it. Grade limits to design around: not for continuous service above about 250 degrees C and needs qualified welding procedures and control of heat input.

11export

Super Duplex 2507 sheet is exported from Mumbai to 18 confirmed markets, quoted with the Incoterm and named port.

12alternatives

Super Duplex 2507 compared with similar grades

Buyers who look at Super Duplex 2507 sheet usually also compare Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex S32760. The grade pages below give each one's designations, properties and limits side by side so you can choose for the service rather than the price alone.

FAQ

Questions answered

What does PREN above 40 mean?
PREN is a ranking figure for pitting resistance from chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content. Above 40 is the usual threshold for grades called super duplex.
How does 2507 compare with 2205?
2507 has more chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen, so it resists chlorides better and is stronger, at a higher price.
Is super duplex difficult to weld?
It needs qualified procedures and controlled heat input to keep the phase balance, but it is routinely welded in offshore fabrication.
What finishes can Super Duplex 2507 sheet be supplied in?
The published finishes are No. 1, 2B, 2D, BA, No. 4, hairline, mirror (No. 8), matt and chequered. For polished finishes, ask for protective film.
Which standard applies to Super Duplex 2507 sheet?
Super Duplex 2507 sheet is commonly specified to ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240 and ASTM A480. Confirm the standard and edition on your order.
What is the minimum yield and tensile strength of Super Duplex 2507?
In the annealed condition, Super Duplex 2507 has a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 795 MPa, per the standard named in the table above.
What is the UNS number and EN designation of Super Duplex 2507?
Super Duplex Stainless Steel 2507 is designated UNS S32750 and EN 1.4410, and is also called 2507 and S32750.
What are the main alloying elements in Super Duplex 2507?
To the standard in the composition table, Super Duplex 2507 carries chromium 24.00 – 26.00, nickel 6.00 – 8.00 and molybdenum 3.00 – 5.00 percent by weight. Confirm the composition on the mill test certificate supplied with your material.
Do you supply a mill test certificate with Super Duplex 2507 sheet?
Yes, to EN 10204 3.1 as standard, showing chemistry and mechanical properties against the heat. EN 10204 3.2 with third-party inspection is available on request.
