17-4 PH Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel is also designated UNS S17400, EN 1.4542, AISI 630, JIS SUS630 and Werkstoff X5CrNiCuNb16-4. Quote the designation your specification uses and we will supply to it.
Tensile strength above 1300 MPa in the H900 condition, Hardens with minimal dimensional change, Corrosion resistance broadly comparable to 304 and Machinable in the annealed condition before hardening. It is magnetic, with fair weldability and good machinability, and is used in continuous service in air up to about 315 °C.
