Resists pitting and crevice attack in warm seawater, Higher strength than 316L while remaining fully austenitic, Excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and Non-magnetic and tough at cryogenic temperature. It is non-magnetic, with requires-procedure weldability and difficult machinability, and is used in continuous service in air up to about 400 °C.
