It is non-magnetic, with excellent weldability and fair machinability, and is used in continuous service in air up to about 900 °C.
No better than 304 against chlorides — the titanium does nothing for pitting, Titanium carbide stringers can affect surface finish on polished work and Less readily available in thin sheet than 304 or 316. We state these plainly so the grade is chosen for the right service.
