What is Duplex 2205 round bar?
Round bar is solid feedstock for machined and forged parts, supplied in a stated delivery condition and tolerance class. Duplex 2205 bar is bought for shafts, valve and pump parts, fasteners and other components where the grade's properties are needed in the finished part. Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205 and S31803, EN 1.4462) has a mixed austenitic and ferritic structure with 22 percent chromium, about 5 percent nickel and 3 percent molybdenum, plus nitrogen.
