What is SS 304L round bar?
Round bar is solid feedstock for machined and forged parts, supplied in a stated delivery condition and tolerance class. SS 304L bar is bought for shafts, valve and pump parts, fasteners and other components where the grade's properties are needed in the finished part. SS 304L (UNS S30403, EN 1.4307) is the low-carbon version of 304, with 0.030 percent carbon at most. The lower carbon keeps chromium carbides from forming at the grain boundaries when thick sections are welded, so it keeps its corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition without a post-weld anneal.
