What is SS 904L round bar?
Round bar is solid feedstock for machined and forged parts, supplied in a stated delivery condition and tolerance class. SS 904L bar is bought for shafts, valve and pump parts, fasteners and other components where the grade's properties are needed in the finished part. SS 904L (UNS N08904, EN 1.4539) is a super-austenitic stainless steel with 23 to 28 percent nickel, 4 to 5 percent molybdenum and added copper. The chemistry gives it far better resistance than 316L to sulphuric acid and to pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorides.
