Seamless tube is drawn without a weld seam to close tolerances on diameter and wall. Buyers choose it for precision, heat-exchange and instrument duty, and where a seam is not acceptable.
Tube is ordered to outside diameter and wall thickness rather than nominal bore, because the application usually cares about heat transfer or instrument fit rather than flow capacity. RGM holds seamless tube in small diameters down to 3.1 mm, which is the range most stockists will not carry.
